​Jamie McMurray

​I am a graduate from Bret Harte Highschool and also Mark Twain Elementary.  For 10 years I attended college and enjoyed being a professional student studying many subjects like geology, fire science, business administration, sports medicine and marine biology to name a few. Throughout the years I also accumulated 25 years of hospitality management which has given me skills in: wedding planning, special events, concerts, wine and cigar training as well as catering large events. 
 
The most important job that I have been given the privilege of is the raising of my 2 kids and the responsibility of being a homeschool teacher to them.  I enjoy creating experiences for them and look forward to creating them for others to learn and enjoy as well.  I was led to get involved in the education committee focused on youth programming because I wanted a way to give back to the community and inspire young minds to have a love of learning.

Debbie Ponte

I am a lifelong resident of Angels Camp and have been involved in many community and civic organizations through the years in addition to my public service as a former Mayor of Angels Camp and Calaveras Board of Supervisor for the area. Currently, I’m serving as Executive Director of Destination Angels Camp, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to economic development, and I also serve as Administrative Manager for the Altaville Cemetery District.
 
My love of history and family ties to the Angels Camp Museum led me to pursue the opportunity to serve also on the Museum Foundation Board. My husband’s Aunt and former Museum Manager, Emily Stemler, sparked my interest many years ago with the stories of the various exhibits as she volunteered on special activities as the museum grew. I am honored to serve and support the efforts to help preserve our history and keep our stories alive. I see many opportunities for the Foundation to support the Museum and to help raise awareness and funds to preserve and protect one of the finest gold rush-era museums in the region.
